Women’s Ministry Overview

Aspirations
The SJN Women’s Ministry will reach out to all women of our parish hoping to make them feel welcome as a sister in our faith community. We will sponsor events to get to know one another and to foster fulfilling and lasting friendships as we walk together in faith. 

The SJN Women’s Ministry will also sponsor events to help the women of the parish to grow spiritually. Our main goal in life is to have a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus. We will foster this goal through spiritual meditations, workshops, days or evenings of recollection and programs aimed toward those women who are hurting – from broken relationships, from divorce, from childlessness, miscarriages and / or abortions or from loneliness and emptiness to name a few. We want each woman to truly know and feel Jesus’ love for her, that she is not alone, and that she is so very precious to Jesus and to us. We want to restore hope and joy to each hurting heart.

The SJN Women’s Ministry will also be of service to our parish. We will look at the needs of our parish and see how we can help. We may be able to accomplish the betterment of our parish through manual labors of love and where money is needed we will organize fundraisers to make bigger projects a reality. We are a part of the whole parish community and we want to include the whole parish community in our endeavors. We are a family of faith, a community of men, women and children. We need to work together to foster the reality of the family community that we are.
