Marriage Preparation Classes
Deanery VI

General Instructions for Deanery VI Parishes (and other parishes)

1)  The couple must set a wedding date with the priest at their home parish.

2)  Two marriage preparation programs are available:
    a) Catholic Engaged Encounter-separate brochure
    b) Marriage Preparation Classes-packet (containing class schedule, registration form, and host parish locations)

3)  Instruct the couple to submit two registration forms (one per person) and payment to the host parish as soon as possible. Please encourage the couples to attend the marriage prep classes at one parish. If a make up class is necessary, offer them a class from the existing schedule. Have the couple contact the host parish which is hosting the make up class.

4)  Couples will receive a certificate of completion at the last class. Instruct the couple to give the certificate to the priest in charge of their marriage preparation.
